What attractions will be open?
The Grounds and Gardens areas of Warwick Castle are open! This includes all 64 acres of rolling grounds, incorporating the Peacock Garden and adjacent Pageant Field, and all green areas around the castle, the courtyard, and the iconic East Front with a view of Guy’s Tower.
Warwick Castle attractions and interiors are also now open with a number of activities and experiences open, along with the Knight's Village accommodation. We can't wait to get back to doing what we do best – delivering magical experiences for you, our guests.
Where do guests have to wear face masks?
Guests over the age of 11* will be required to wear a face mask in order to go within any indoor space including queues, giftshops, indoor attractions and hotel lobbies. This advice is in line with the latest UK Government regulations across England which will come in to place from the 8th August - https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus. We are monitoring this guidance closely and we encourage all our guests to help protect themselves and each other when visiting the Castle.
* Children under 11, people with certain health conditions and people with a disability are exempt.
In addition, visitors will see our guest-facing employees wearing Personal Protective Equipment including face masks and visors. Hygiene screens have been installed in front of many of our food stalls and shop counters, and we have installed social distancing markers throughout our attraction.
What facilities will be open?
In line with Government guidance and other attractions opened in the UK we will have a range of facilities open – which you would normally see on a day out.
A variety of refreshments will be available to purchase from ‘grab and go’ areas around our outdoor spaces, selling a range of snacks, hot and cold drinks and ice-creams.
We will only be accepting card payments, preferably contactless, and we have installed new hygiene screens at our service counters and food stalls to help physically separate guests from employees. Hand sanitiser stations will also be located nearby.
Facilities across the Castle and Grounds will be cleaned regularly, and hand sanitiser stations have been installed at various locations, including at attraction entrances and exits.
Can I bring a picnic?
Picnics are welcome at Warwick Castle Grounds & Gardens. We advise bringing a picnic blanket for convenience in order to sit down and enjoy our green spaces. Please help us to keep you safe by staying together in your group, social distancing at all times and ensuring any litter is put in the bins provided.
Refreshments will also be available to purchase from ‘grab and go’ takeaway areas around our outdoor spaces, selling a variety of refreshments and snacks, including hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice creams and alcoholic drinks.
